Villa Taranto Botanical Garden The attraction for flower lovers par excellence on Lake Maggiore; the 16-hectare park is home to over 20,000 important botanical species with 80,000 flowering bulbs and over 15,000 border plants whose brilliant colours brighten the numerous flowerbeds . From March to October visitors can enjoy the superb seasonal displays of camellias, rhododendron, tulips azaleas, dahlias, the spectacular pools of water-lilies and the extraordinary victoria amazzonica.
Villa Pallavicino Park Extending over an area of 20 hectares of flowering avenues and centuries-old trees it has a wonderful botanical garden, but its main attraction are the animals: over 40 species of exotic mammals and birds roam freely in restricted natural areas. There is also playground for children.
The Alpinia Botanical Garden Situated in a unique scenic position, the garden, with about 1000 specimens of alpine flora, covers an area of circa 40,000 m2, and is a balcony offering splendid views over Lake Maggiore, the Borromeo Islands and the nearby peaks..
